Horseshoe Lake

Horseshoe Lake is one of Upper Bidwell Park’s quieter corners. A short walk brings you down to the shoreline, where the lake curves into the shape that gives it its name.

It’s the kind of place people come to slow down for a bit. You might see someone casting a line, watching birds along the water, or stretching out in the shade with a picnic.

If you’re spending time in Upper Park, Horseshoe Lake makes an easy stop along the way. Wander down to the water, take a quick lap around the area, and enjoy a peaceful pocket of Chico’s favorite park.
