Chico’s annual Run for Food returns Thanksgiving morning, bringing thousands of residents and visitors together for a morning filled with movement, community spirit, and support for a meaningful cause.
The event raises funds for the Jesus Center, a nonprofit that provides meals, care, and essential services for individuals experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty in our community.

The 3.1 mile route guides participants through Lower Bidwell Park, one of Chico’s most beloved areas of the city. Fall colors line the path, Big Chico Creek flows beside you, and the cool morning air creates the perfect setting for a pre-holiday run or walk.
It is a beautiful and uplifting way to start the day, whether you are running to challenge yourself, walking with family, or simply enjoying the atmosphere.
