Chico Saturday Farmers’ Market

Is it even the weekend if you didn’t go to the farmers market?  The market is one of Chico’s favorite weekend rituals. Every Saturday morning, downtown fills up with local growers, bakers, flower farmers, and artists from all over the region.

Some people come with a full grocery list, others just come to wander with an iced coffee and see what’s in season. Either way, it’s one of the best places to experience the community side of Chico.

Yep! The market happens year-round, rain or shine. In the rare case of severe weather, updates will be posted on social media.

What forms of payment do vendors accept?
Most vendors accept cash and cards, and EBT/CalFresh is also accepted. Stop by the info booth to exchange benefits for market tokens before shopping.

Where should I park?
Weekend parking is free throughout downtown, plus the parking structure on 4th Street between Salem and Broadway is only a short walk away.

Can I bring my dog?
Only certified service animals are allowed inside the market. Summer mornings get crowded and hot, so family pets are best left relaxing at home.
